Opening art depot and atrium on 25 January
On Thursday 25 January SCHUNCK's new Art Depot and Atrium will be officially opened. Commissioner of the King Emile Roemer kicks off with the first guest exhibition.
The new Art Depot not only provides more space for the art collection, but more importantly it ensures structural public accessibility to the collection. The collection can be viewed in changing thematic presentations in an interactive way. The Art Depot will soon be freely accessible to everyone, making SCHUNCK more and more a museum for the city.
The new Art Depot is also connected with the museum by a glass canopy of the patio that connects the Glaspaleis and the music school with the museum: the SCHUNCK Atrium. There will also be an ever-changing exhibition in one of the rooms of the Art Depot, the first of which - 'The Choice of', curated by Emile Roemer - will also open on 25 January.
