David Bade captures Cultura Nova

Since last Monday, 12 December, artist David Bade has been holding a public studio at Akerstraat 15 in Heerlen. There, he is working on a 'group portrait' of Cultura Nova's volunteers. The result will be unveiled on Friday 23 December.
In August 2013, David Bade and SCHUNCK entered into a lifelong collaboration. With the purchase of the work 'David Bade tekent Heerlen onder de tafel' - a workshop/performance - Bade commits to returning to Heerlen with some regularity throughout his life for its performance.
Last week, the tenth edition started, in which Bade interacts with the volunteers of theatre festival Cultura Nova. Until Friday 23 December, David will hold a pop-up studio in the former boxing school at Akerstraat 15 in Heerlen, where he will work on a group portrait, immortalising Cultura Nova in the art collection of the city of Heerlen (see photos, swipe for more). Bade is still live at work in the studio this week. Anyone who finds it interesting to see how Bade works or 'just' wants to have a chat is welcome there.
