As the conclusion of phase 2 of The Heerlen Rooftop Project we are taking a look, in cooperation with the Parkstad City Region and RWTH Aachen, at the future of the Parkstad Limburg region, focusing mainly on the major challenges such as climate adaptation, the landscape, circularity and sustainability. In a two-part event, these themes will be addressed and discussed.
Part 1
A lecture afternoon on 11 November 2022, focuses on the micro-scale level, presenting a number of projects in the fields of greening, new energy sources and circularity. Including:

Part 2
The final symposium, to be held in spring 2023, addresses the strategic macro scale level. This will include a look at the Region & Future Deal and various regional structural visions as well as the Rheinische Revier and the Transforming City Regions programme.
