SCHUNCK also gives guided tours for the Heerlen Rooftop Project. This way, you can learn all about the background of the project, and what it means for the surrounding area. SCHUNCK offers a free Rooftop tour led by a professional tour guide on a number of Sundays.

Planters full of herbs, vegetables, edible flowers and lovely seating areas combine to create a special place in, overlooking Heerlen's rooftop landscape. To learn more about this project and its urban surroundings, there will be three additional Rooftop tours in October.

About the tour

The tour starts in the hall of SCHUNCK Glaspaleis. Together with city guide Jenny Kranendonk, we set off towards the roof of Q-Park Putgraaf. There we will learn about the design by architect collective Selvatico, in which the garden is divided into green rooms that encourage biodiversity and bring nature into the city. Then Jenny will give a brief history of Heerlen based on the special view of the city.

Practical info

Duration: 1,5 hours

There is room for 20 participants, no need to register. Full = full. We gather at 1 p.m. in the hall of SCHUNCK Glaspaleis. In bad weather, the Rooftop tour can unfortunately not take place.
