To mark the opening of the renovated town hall, SCHUNCK presents a cross-section of the municipal art collection, the oldest public collection of contemporary art in Limburg.

The exhibition can be seen in the main lobby of the town hall, where the collection has traditionally been displayed. The works take visitors from the collection's early beginnings to the present day. With some key works by Cobra and the 'Amsterdam Limburgers', it reflects on the genesis of the collection in the 1950s. The presentation also gives a good idea of the further development of the art collection, which, like the city itself, is characterised by innovation.
With works by Yael Bartana, Constant, Hadassah Emmerich, Romy Finke, Ger Lataster, Keetje Mans, Dan Zhu, among others.
