‘Sitting is the new smoking!’ With this in mind, the Rietveld Architecture-Art-Affordances (RAAAF) investigated alternative possibilities and created 'The End of Sitting', an artwork which enables you to take up 15 different standing postures.

'The End of Sitting' is an innovative concept on the interface between welfare & healthcare, employment, design, architecture and visual art.
This working landscape can now be found on the 1st floor of the SCHUNCK Glaspaleis. It is located next to the existing public workspaces. The installation is also part of the SCHUNCK municipal collection.
RAAAF (Rietveld Architecture-Art- Affordances)
RAAAF (Rietveld Architecture-Art- Affordances) operates on the boundaries of visual art, architecture and philosophy. This multidisciplinary and experimental studio opened in 2006. RAAAF creates location-specific work which is derived from the respective backgrounds of the two studio partners: Prix de Rome laureate Ronald Rietveld and philosopher Erik Rietveld. Due to their unique way of working, based on multidisciplinary investigation in collaboration with scientists and professionals, RAAAF’s spatial conceptions connect the present, the past and the future.
