The moment you visit a SCHUNCK location a number of basic rules apply:
- A mouth mask is mandatory when walking around the building. When you sit down you can take off your mask.
- Keeping a distance of 1.5 meters is mandatory.
- Please do not come if you have a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, and/or have tested positive for COVID.
We follow the developments closely, as soon as something changes you'll find the latest information on this page.
As long as the current COVID-19 measures are in place, the side entrance of the Glaspaleis building will temporarily function as the main entrance. Due to the stricter regulations, all our locations will close at 5 pm. We look forward to meeting you there!
Measures per organisational unit:
The Music and Dance School has been open again since Saturday 15 January.
- Classes take place according to the regular schedule.
- A valid coronavirus pass is required for students and visitors aged 18 years and older.
- Mouth masks are required when moving through the building.
Coronation rules as of 18 February
From 18 February onwards, the obligation to present a corona access card, the compulsory use of masks and the 1.5 metre distance will no longer apply.
The following rules apply when visiting the library:
- For visitors of 13 years and older it is compulsory to wear a mouth mask when visiting the library. The mouth mask may be removed when sitting at a distance of 1.5 metres.
- It is not necessary to show a coronavirus pass and proof of identity in the library.
- The study and work areas will remain open, but because of the 1.5 metre distance there are fewer study and work areas available. If you sit down to study, read a book or newspaper, you may remove your mouth mask.
Corona rules from 18 February
- Wearing a mouth mask is still compulsory in the library, at the moment you are sitting at 1,5 meter distance the mask can be removed.
- During activities in the library, the 1.5 metre distance remains compulsory.
- During events, such as lectures or film screenings, which take place in the cinema of SCHUNCK, a valid coronavirus pass is mandatory. During the event a distance of 1,5 meter is not required.
Corona rules as of February 25
As of February 25, the mouth mask obligation, the 1.5 meters distance and the showing of a valid corona ticket at library events in the film hall will be abolished.
The SCHUNCK museum is open, but our museum hall is under construction for the upcoming exhibition Keith Haring: Grace House Mural. This exhibition can be visited from Wednesday March 9, 2022. The exhibitions in the atrium and the staircase are free to visit.
To visit the museum, everyone aged 13 and over is required to show a valid coronavirus entry pass at the entrance.
Wearing a mouth mask in the museum is currently compulsory, as is keeping one and a half metres away.
Corona rules from 18 February
- For everyone aged 13 and above, it is compulsory to show a valid coronavirus pass until 25 February.
- As of 18 February, the mouth mask requirement and the 1.5-metre distance when visiting the museum will cease to apply.
In the Glaspaleis you will find, besides SCHUNCK, Bagels & Beans and Brasserie Mijn Streek.

- For everyone over 13 years old, it is mandatory to show a corona entrance ticket until February 25.
- A fixed seat is mandatory.
- A mouth mask is compulsory but may be removed if you have a permanent seat. A mouth mask is compulsory when moving around.
- It is compulsory to keep a distance of 1.5 metres.
Corona rules as of 18 February:
A corona admission ticket remains obligatory for everyone aged 13 and over.
Once inside, it is no longer compulsory to have a fixed seat, wear a mouth mask and keep a distance of 1.5 metres.
